What are my responsibilities as a GPHN Block Worker? PDF
- Deliver newspaper to your assigned block(s) monthly.
- You will receive your bundle of papers on your porch on or AROUND the first of the month. Sometimes it can take longer due to weather or delivery issues.
- Please deliver the paper to each home on your route at your earliest convenience.
- What is a normal route: If you start at a home and deliver a paper to each home "around" the block without crossing any streets, you should end up where you started.
- We kindly ask that you do not put our papers in mailboxes or mail slots.
- If you cannot deliver the newspaper due to travel or illness, please let us know and we will not leave the papers on your porch or doorstep.
- If you can no longer deliver the paper on a regular basis, please ask a neighbor if they might be interested in replacing you. Otherwise, notify us when your block will be without a block worker and in need of a new block worker.
Please remember that the papers are bundled by volunteers too.
We ask for your contact information (e-mail, mobile number for text messages) in case we need to notify you about the delivery status of the papers.
